Mudkip (Japanese: ミズゴロウ Mizugorou) is a H2o-blazon Pokémon introduced in Generation Iii.
It evolves into Marshtomp starting at level xvi, which evolves into Swampert starting at level 36.
Along with Treecko and Torchic, Mudkip is 1 of three starter Pokémon of Hoenn available at the get-go of Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Omega Ruby, and Blastoff Sapphire.
Biology
Mudkip is a small, amphibious, quadrupedal Pokémon. It has a blue body with a light-blue underside. Mudkip has a big caput with a blueish fin on top and a light-blue tail fin. It has black, beady eyes and orange, star-shaped gills on its cheeks. Past using the fin on its head, Mudkip can detect changes in air and water currents also as bodies of water. Its fin can also point in a certain direction, every bit seen in the anime. Mudkip is capable of moving or burdensome boulders larger than itself. Its big tail fin provides powerful acceleration to propel information technology through the water.

Brock has a Marshtomp that he caught as a Mudkip in A Mudkip Mission. Mudkip Eggs were seen in the episode when Erstwhile Homo Swamp offered to let Brock encounter 1 hatch, and Brock accepted his offer with enthusiasm. Brock's Mudkip afterward evolved into a Marshtomp in A Bit Off the Onetime Brock.

In Get the Show on the Road, May was asked to use a Pokémon to set on some Poochyena, she summoned a Mudkip, only for information technology to use Water Gun on her. Later, when May was asked to pick her starter Pokémon, she didn't pick Mudkip, remembering the time when it refused to practise what she had asked.
In In the Knicker of Time!, a Mudkip was Nicholai'south chief Pokémon. In ZigZag Zangoose, it was revealed to have evolved to a Marshtomp.
In Having a Wailord of a Time, Nurse Joy asked Ash and Max to await over a Mudkip, along with a Treecko and Torchic. It was very immature and cried hands. Mudkip was eventually picked past Stephanie to be her starter Pokémon.
In A Vi Pack Attack!, a Mudkip belonging to Professor Birch was featured along with the other starters. They were being admired by Max and May when Team Rocket captured them along with the other Hoenn and Kanto starters. Max found them and told Mudkip and Squirtle to absurd the confined with Water Gun, which eventually freed them. It then helped send Team Rocket blasting off.
